Biographical Sketches in this volume include a lithograph portrait of almost all of the 80 individuals treated. Many are from the Grand Rapids area, but Ionia, Montcalm, Ottawa and suburban Kent County are also represented.

Most biographies include a lithograph portrait; a scan of the portrait (computer file .tif or .jpg format) will be included at no additional fee. Most of the biographies are about a page in length and usually include information on the subject’s place of origin. A summation of his or her career is highlighted.
